Lip Filler
Lip fillers create definition, improve volume and correct asymmetry, giving your lips a desirable look and enhancing your natural beauty.
Lip fillers are injections of hyaluronic acid (HA) that are placed into the lips. The injections of filler are strategically placed to enhance the volume and definition of the lips, creating a perfect pout.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the skin and has a natural affinity with skin tissue. Following treatment, the hyaluronic acid breaks down naturally over time. Lip filler treatments are also reversible.
The results are tailored to suit the client, using more or less filler as appropriate to create a look that can range from subtle to the more dramatic.
0.5ml – will give a VERY subtle look once swelling goes down. Recommended for nervous clients who are happy to be patient in waiting for their results. Please note this will double the time it takes to build them and is not cost effective. It could take 4-6 sessions to reach your desired shape, regardless of how natural you want them.
1ml – recommended if it is your first time- you may look a little swollen immediately after. Once this swelling goes down they will settle to be visibly more plumped and volumised. This is more cost effective as it should take no longer than 2-3 sessions to build your lips to the desired shape.
Results can last up to 4-6 months after treatment.
As with all dermal filler treatments, filler lasts longer when built up gradually over time with repeated treatments. Each client is different - lifestyle factors can play a role in how the filler is metabolised between different individuals.
Note: hot climates, sunbeds, smoking and fast metabolism speed up the breakdown of filler.
We only use hyaluronic acid (HA) based fillers. They are non-permanent and completely reversible if needed. We stock a wide range of dermal filler brands. Get in touch if there’s a particular brand you prefer.
We believe over 90% of the cosmetic result depends on the skill and artistic flare of the medical practitioner holding the filler in their hand rather than the brand of filler being used.
